Small tortoise shell casket shaped box. Probably made to hold a small piece of jewelry or a thimble. The silver name plate is engraved with the name E. Briggs in script. The ball feet and facing are ivory. The box is lined with a dark rose velvet. [2.25" x 1.25" x 1.25" H] England, 2nd qtr 19th c.
